Hey everyone :)

Got a new post for you today on the blog - it's another #BEDN post and the topic is 'National Tree Week'. Since its near Christmas I thought a Christmas Tree would be a good shout.

I like the effect of the lights in the picture and the presents in the background.

What is your favourite tree? Let me know in the comments below.

#BEDN | Buy Nothing Day

Hey everyone :)

I should have posted this on Friday when it was 'Black Friday' however you know ... work!

Black Friday also fell on 'Buy Nothing Day' the topic of #BEDN for the 27th November 2015.

I promised myself weeks before Black Friday that I would not go crazy having just paid of my credit card from last year and I managed to stay sane and not max out my credit card again.

I did however pick up a couple of DVD boxsets that I've been trying to get my hands on - one being Brothers and Sisters - which I kept trying to find but couldn't watch.

Let me know if you managed not to buy anything on 'Buy Nothing Day' in the comments below.

#BEDN | Nostalgia

Hey everyone :)

Hope you are all well and have had a great week! This should have gone up around Thursday but I've been behind in my #BEDN posts as work is busy at the moment and well you know ... life!

This topic for this post is: Nostalgia - now I was trying to think of what to write for this - then I thought it would be a great idea to find 3 pictures from a few years ago and reminisce about them.

When I was at university I lived in student accommodation and one thing I had always wanted was a kitten. I don't know why I just wanted one ... and me being naive and stupid bought one ... actually I bought two ... because I didn't want to leave one of them on their own. They were cute and cuddly and full of character. I had them for about 2 months and then we had inspections of our rooms and I had to sell them on to someone else - broke my heart but I had to do it.

Before I left for university and while I was at university and when I left university I worked at the Cally Palace Hotel - a five star hotel in Gatehouse of Fleet (my hometown) and it was a great job - so many warm and welcoming people. I was trained by my two best friends Ruth and Rachel (who already worked there). On certain days (I think this was Christmas Day or New Years Day) we dressed up fancy dress. Both Ruth and myself were cats! If I remember correctly Rachel (not pictured) was Sandy from Greece.

I also worked at Cream o Galloway and had lots of fun there. They have a visitor attraction centre which has lots of fun things for kids. There is also the ice cream factory for which they are well known for as there ice cream is everywhere. They also do tours round the farm and the factory. There is also a restaurant/cafe too. I worked mostly in the kitchen and sometimes out front doing the coffee/tea bar.

Those are my three nostalgic moments. Let me know in the comments below what moments are nostalgic for you.

#BEDN | Travel Dreams

Hey everyone :)

Today's #BEDN post is about 'Travel Dreams' so I thought I'd choose three places from my bucket list that I really want to go to before I have no money or am too old!!

San Francisco - who doesn't want to see the massive bridge or those zig-zag streets or those little cupcake shops from 'Cupcake Wars' (tv programme). It looks like an amazing place to visit and one I have on sights for next year.

New York - I've always wanted to go to New York but I know its expensive so that is one I'll need to save up for. Lots of people I know that have went keep telling me you need to take lots of spending money so I best get saving.

Canada - Dave went to Canada for 6 months and raved about it ... so I really want to go ... especially to Niagara Falls. The view looks spectacular in pictures so I'm sure in person it will be amazing!

Are there any places you want to go? Let me know in the comments below.

#BEDN | Collections

Hey everyone :)

Welcome back to #BEDN and the post series! The topic today is 'Collections'. Over the years I've gathered lots of different collections including books, stuffed toys, games such as PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One etc etc ...

Before I moved to England I had an amazing collection of books however when I did my 'are they coming with me or not' cull they didn't make the cut and I threw most of them away. If your asking why I didn't take them to a charity shop then I was in a rush and it was 5am in the morning - nowhere was open and I needed to clear all my stuff out.

One of my favourite book collections was 'The Famous Five' by Enid Blyton - when I was a member of my local library (when I lived with my parents) I would visit the library every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (those were the days it was open) and take out as many books as I could (12 was the max) and read to my hearts content. If you remember that opening scene in Matilda with that little cart and her books ... that was me ... only with a rucksack instead (and a very sore back when I got home).

I loved 'The Famous Five' and I noticed that for Black Friday - Amazon had a special deal on all 21 books ... so I might be tempted as I just got paid too.

What collections do you have? Apart from books and stuffed teddies? Let me know in the comments below.

Stur Liquid Water Enhancer

Hey everyone :)

I was lucky to get my hands of some 'Stur Liquid Water Enhancer' and I'm excited to blog about it.

Let's get straight down to it ... water is boring! It's healthy for you and has many benefits but it's boring and so many people look for things to liven it up.

That's where this amazing product comes into play -

This is 'Sturs' new coconut range - there are three flavours:

Coconut Water - Original
Coconut Water & Lime
Coconut Water & Pineapple

As you are probably aware if you follow the news - coconut has been in the spotlight as of late - what with the benefits of coconut oil, coconut milk and coconut water - it's very popular at the moment.

As I mentioned above there are many benefits to water - such as:

> reduction of appetite
> great for your skin
> supports your heart
> can help reduce/prevent headaches/dizziness

If you are interested I did write a post a few months ago on the benefits of drinking water and what it can do for you. Check it out HERE.

Stur also adds to the water:

> 100% of your daily vitamin C
> 0 sugar, calories and fat
> all natural fruit and tea flavours
> no artificial sweeteners, flavours or colours

In a previous post I talked about the benefits of eating half a grapefruit for breakfast as it contains vitamin C - which contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

The tiny bottle also provides you with 30 servings which means it will last longer than most normal diluted juice you buy in the supermarket.

Stur also offer their product in other flavours (eight) including the three coconut flavours so if coconut is not your thing - possibly try another flavour.

All in all a great product and something that I'd use again - it is so easy to reach for a can of fizzy drink because it tastes better than water. But when you add some flavour to the water it becomes something completely different.

Let me know in the comments if you prefer water on its own or do you add some flavouring to it? If so what do you add?

If you want to check out Stur's webpage for more information you can do so by clicking HERE.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post, however I did receive a sample for my review. All opinions are my own and not influenced in any way.

#BEDN | Travel

Hey everyone :)

Today the topic for #BEDN is 'Travel' ... now I have not been many places in my life - on a plane only two - Spain and Rome.

So I thought I'd share some more pictures of my time their with Dave (in Rome) and friends (in Spain).

Rome:

Rome was amazing - on Valentine's Day I surprised him with the tickets and holiday and he was very shocked. I got a really good deal on the flights and the hotel was simply amazing - maybe too posh for us but still amazing!

Spain:

I really enjoyed Spain - this is the second time we have gone to Menorca and it's amazing!

#BEDN | Friday Night Out

Hey everyone :)

While I was googling ideas for my post for 'Friday Night Out' as part of the #BEDN posts - I was reminded of Katy Perry's 'Last Friday Night' song ... one that I played constantly for weeks and drove my colleagues at work mental with.

I know this doesn't really have anything to do with 'going out' unless you have a mad house party, get drunk and then go out then maybe it does.

The video for the song is amazing - if you haven't seen it go and check it out - it has been viewed more than 579 millions times already!

Now I love the original song but there are also some great 'spoof' videos out there too and one of my favourites has to be by YouTuber 'Shane Dawson' - you may or may not have heard of him but he was one of the first YouTubers I ever started watching when I discovered YouTube.

Lately my Friday nights are spent going to bed early (because I'm working the weekend) or catching up with blog posts, vlogs, housework or spending time with the boyfriend.

You could say I'm pretty old now that I don't go out much ...

Do you still go out every Friday night?? Let me know in the comments below?
