#BEDN | Video

Hey everyone :)

We are nearly half way though #BEDN already - can you believe how time flies? Today's topic is 'Video'.

I thought I'd make this a short and sweet post about my YouTube channel as that's 'Video' related.

After I started blogging - I decided that I wanted to start a YouTube channel as a different creative output - everyone loves to read a post but some people prefer to watch a video than read.

When I first started I did one 'sit-down' talk about something video a week - no one really knows how long it takes to shoot, edit and upload a video so that was all I could really manage.

When Dave left for Canada (for the 6 month stint) I had lots more free time on my hands and so I decided to start vlogging but only on the weekends as a sort of memory of what I was doing and so if Dave felt lonely or missed me then he could watch them to see what I was doing.

After weekend vlogging for nearly 16 weeks I decided to start daily vlogging to see how I got on ... I think I managed 2 or 3 months and then I decided to take a break as it was a struggle to work, come home, edit the day before's video, start vlogging for the day we were on, do housework, catch up with my blog, tidy the house and spend time with Dave and the vlogs (I felt) were rushed and had no real structure.

So I went back to one 'sit-down' talk about something video a month and this has given me time to do other things like play the Playstation or spend more time on my blog and spend time with Dave.

If you want to check out my channel it is here: https://www.youtube.com/user/mrjohnagnew

The equipment I use is also below for those interested:

Canon EOS 700D (for Saturday blog-related videos)
Lens: Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 18-55mm IS STM
Canon G7X (for vlogging)
Canon IXUS 265 (old vlogging camera but still use occasionally)

Let me know if you use any of the equipment or whether you are thinking of getting into vlogging in the comments below.
