I've been looking for new (or old) television shows to watch as most of the ones I was watching are all on break at the moment. Game of Thrones is finished however Pretty Little Liars has recently just started so that will keep me going.
I was skimming through Amazon searching for shows I watched years ago ... and when I say years ... I mean 2004-era. I remembered that I have never laughed so much when it came to Green Wing.
I managed to find it on Amazon for £9 - how good is that!? This included Season 1, Season 2 and the Special (and lots of extras).
The show is set in a hospital and follows the lives of a few doctors and staff at the hospital - such as Sue White (the staff liason) or Joanna Clore (the HR director) or Caroline Tood (a surgeon/doctor). There isn't really any medical storylines in the show (even though its set in a hospital) - the show has a soap-opera style to it - where twists and turns happen to the characters. The show does a slow down/speed up of scenes which emphasise the body language of the characters. Apparently lots of the scenes are improvised and the characters were encouraged to improvise when shooting was happening.
The series had me in fits of giggles and I loved it! So I'm really glad I was able to pick it up so cheaply!
