Teapigs: Feel Good Teas

Hey everyone :)

I am a big fan of different flavoured teas and when I saw that Teapigs had brought out a range of 'Feel Good Teas' I had to buy them.

I will hold my hands up and say that I do prefer the smell of teas to their tastes! However these teas were surprisingly tasty.

Tea: SNOOZE: Sleepy Tea
Ingredients: chamomile, apple and lavender

A very soothing and florally tea I thought. I take a long time to shut off and fall asleep but I actually can't remember much after the tea so it must work ... or I was just really tired that night!

Tea: UP BEET: Energy Tea
Ingredients: hibiscus, carrot, beetroot, ginger and green tea

A fruity tea, it also turns a lovely dark purple and smells amazing! It reminded me of Ribena which is odd. This tea will give you a boost of energy and is healthier than a sugary drink or coffee with lots of sugar.

Tea: CLEAN N GREEN: Detox Tea
Ingredients: green tea, lemongrass, ginger, coconut and dandelion

This reminded me of green tea with lemon which I have had before and enjoyed - it is also nice cold with ice. Teapigs recommend if you are feeling blobby or bloated that tea can help with that.

I bought this tea as part of a deal and got all three boxes for £10 (so that was 45 tea temples for £10) which is a great bargain. While writing this (Fri 21st April 2017) this deal is still available on their website which you can check out HERE.

You can buy the boxes separately (with 15 tea temples) for £3.99. If you think that 15 tea temples is too much of a commitment (incase you don't like it) then you can buy little boxes with 2 tea temples for £1.30.

Teapigs also do lots of other flavour of tea and I have bought plenty from them in the past. Let me know in the comments if you have ever tried their teas and what flavours are good!

Mary Berry: Everyday

Hey everyone :)

A few weeks ago I was browsing the shelves of Tesco and came across this new book! I picked it up straight away as I'm a big fan of Mary Berry! I had no idea it was to go along side her new show (even though there is a big sticker on the front of the book).

I've already made a few recipes from the book and they are so easy and quick to make.

I bought the book from Tesco for £10.00 on an introductory offer - I'm unsure how much it is normally. It is well worth the money and there are also great tips with each recipe.

There are also sections on cupboard staples, weight and liquid conversions and what equipment to have in your kitchen to make your life easier.

As I mentioned above I have made a few recipes from the book already - a couple that I have posted on my blog are: Herbed Quinoa & Bulgar Wheat Salad with Lemon & Pomegranate and Panang Chicken & Rice Stir Fry.

Let me know what you think in the comments below and if you have bought or made anything from her book!

iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT) Red Edition

Hi everyone :)

I couldn't resist ... I just couldn't ... sue me ... but I've not had a 'big' spend in sometime and so I decided to treat myself.

If I'm completely honest ... my memory on my iPhone 6S is only 12GB and I just can't cope with it - I'm constantly having to delete apps to make room for other apps and I can only store about 6 pictures before I get the 'memory full' message - which as you can imagine is bloody annoying!!

I decided to pop to the Apple store in Watford (about 8 miles from where I live in Hemel) and pick myself up a 128GB iPhone 7 Plus in red!

I've had my iPhone about a week now and I'm in love with it ... I mean it's so red and amazing! The iPhone 7 Plus is also a great phone too

I also bought myself one of the new red silicon cases for the phone too (as it was quite slippy without one). Also, every purchase contributes to the global fund to support HIV/AIDS programs and helps deliver an AIDS-free generation. So another great reason to buy one of the phones!!

The price in the UK for a red iPhone 7 Plus 128GB (unlocked) was £819.00 but there is also a finance option available which is a good way if you don't want the full amount coming out in one go.

Let me know what you think in the comments below! Have you bought one or thought about buying one?!

Mary Berry's: Panang Chicken & Rice Stir-Fry

Hey everyone :)

I wanted to make something for lunch today that was different so I remembered Mary Berry had made a stir-fry chicken dish in one of her episodes last week and I also happen to have her cookbook. So ... here we go ...

Ingredients:
225g long grain rice
2 tbsp olive oil
2 chicken breasts, cut into strips
1 tbsp runny honey
1 onion, finely chopped
1 red pepper, chopped and deseeded
2 celery sticks, finely diced
1 medium courgette, finely diced
2cm knob of fresh root ginger, grated
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tbsp medium curry powder
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
juice of 1/2 a lime
salt + pepper
lime wedges

Method:
1. Cook the rice in boiling salted water according to the packet instructions, then drain well, rinse in boiling water from the kettle to wash any remaining starch off and set aside to drain.
2. Head the olive oil in a wok or wide-based frying pan, season the chicken strips with salt and pepper and add to the pan. Drizzle with honey and stir-fry over a high heat for 2-3 minutes, turning until golden and just cooked, then remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
3. Tip in the onion and vegetables, and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes. Add the ginger, garlic and curry powder and fry for another minute, stirring well.
4. Add the cooked rice with the soy sauce, chilli sauce and lime juice. Toss together until piping hot, season with salt and pepper to taste, and return the chicken to the pan.
5. Remove from the heat and spoon into warmed bowls to serve, with lime wedges.

Note: I left my rice cooking for a bit too long so it went sticky (luckily I like it that way)

Let me know if you make the dish or if you have made it already in the comments below!
